What is the collective noun for 'Outstanding' primary schools, could it be an Elliot?
We are a little late in our congratulations to Paul, Gemma and all the staff and pupils at Kings Rise School in Birmingham who became the latest Elliot Foundation school to be recognised as Outstanding at the end of last term. But this doesn’t mean that we are any less proud of all them.
Amongst the comments made by inspectors were:
Pupils’ behaviour is outstanding. Their very positive attitudes to learning have a strong impact on their progress. They have very caring attitudes towards each other.
A major factor in the academy’s success is the outstanding quality of teaching. Leaders and governors robustly address any weaknesses.
Children in the Nursery and Reception classes make excellent progress and develop positive learning habits by the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Leadership and management are outstanding because the principal, other leaders and staff all have clear and shared aims for the continual improvement of the academy.
